Welcome to Karnataka Sociology Association

The Karnataka Sociology Association was (KSA) was founded in 1994 in Shimogga with 23 members. The key role was played by Dr. V N. Bhat, the then Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at the Kuvempu University. The Association's activities have been professional, career related and expansion and firm grounding of Sociology teaching in the State. Ever since the KSA came into being, it has rendered a platform by itself to the subject professionals to come together to discuss academically the issues pertaining to human communities in Karnataka and to explore offering solutions for ameliorating the problematic situations. We are immensely pleased to invite you to participate in the 15 National Sociology Conference (NSC) organized by Karnataka Sociology Association jointly hosted by Government First Grade College, Tiptur and Sri Honnadevi Government First Grade College, Dandinashivara on the theme of "Integration, Development and Sustainability: Economy, th th Polity, Religion, Culture and Caste in Indian Society" on 19 and 20 January 2024. The Conference invites research papers in both English and Kannada to be presented in 15 Research Committees (RCs) of Karnataka Sociology Association. The Papers to be presented in the Research Committees are to be prepared in accordance with the main theme and Sub Themes of the conference.
